Overview
In Part 1 of this series, we examined how our society's policies, culture and leadership impacts fathers’ roles when it comes to engaging in their children’s lives. Building from that, Part 2 brings us a real-world example of how changes are being made, one father at a time.
During this event, Diako (he/him), a teen father, shared how he is challenging the prevailing myths about young fathers raising a baby. We also heard from Diako’s mom, Sara (she/her), and learned about how they support each other, the changes they want to see in the world, and what they need from providers like you to help strengthen the system to support and love our male fathers and father figures.
