Provider Learning Series: Child Support 101 - Myths, Realities and Options within an Evolving System

August 28, 2022  11:30 am to 1:00 pm - Click here to register

Child Support is an emotionally charged topic that can have a huge impact on people’s lives.  It also involves a complex system of laws, policies, and procedures that are often misunderstood.  Come join representatives from the Washington State Division of Child Support to learn the answers to common questions like:

How does a case get opened?
How is parentage established?
How is child support calculated?
How is child support collected?
What can I do if the order is inaccurate?
What resources are available to me?
How can I receive child support?

The presentation will be followed by a live question and answer session with DCS staff.  We hope you will join us for the interactive and informative presentation.

Leland Jiles is the proud father of three men and has been with DCS for over 25 years.  He has worked in both the Yakima and Olympia Field Offices, and currently comes to us from DCS Headquarters.  He has been involved in outreach at highschools and currently sits on the statewide EDI workgroup.
